Alexandria College receives votes to be ranked in NJCAA DIII rankings



ALEXANDRIA — With a 7-3 record, the Alexandria Technical and Community College baseball is receiving votes to be ranked in the NJCAA DIII rankings (top 15 teams) as of March 17, 2025.

The Legends just returned from playing at the Russmatt Invitational in Auburndale, Florida, where it went 6-2.

Alexandria College has gotten its bats going in the first 10 games of the season as it has a .306 batting average, a .460 on-base percentage, a .411 slugging percentage, and has scored 86 runs.

Jaden Drill, a second-year first baseman and pitcher from Courtland, Minnesota, leads the Legends offense with a .500 batting average, a .564 on-base percentage, a .867 slugging percentage, and 15 hits. He also has nine RBIs. Drill has scored 15 times and has three home runs.

Devin Gutierrez, a second-yard shortstop and pitcher out of Corpus Christi, Texas, leads the team in RBIs with 12. He has a .355 batting average and has scored 11 times.

Connor Davis, a second-year utility player out of Wadena, Minnesota, is also batting about .300 this year as he has a .419 batting average, to go along with a .429 on-base percentage, and a .484 slugging percentage. Davis had 13 hits and 10 RBIs.

The Legends have used a bevy of arms in its pitching rotation as Gutierrez, Hunter Brodina, Isaac Hamann, Cullen Posch, DaShaun Robinson, Jaxon Schoenrock, and Jalen Vorpahl have earned wins on the mound for the Legends.

As a team, the Legends have a 5.46 earned run average, a 1.62 WHIP, and a .244 batting average against.

The Legends are set to compete at the Sanford Sports Complex in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, on Friday and Sunday.

Alexandria College faces Riverland Community College at 10 a.m. on Friday. Alexandria College plays Minnesota North College-Rainy River at 11 a.m. on Sunday, then plays Western Technical College 30 minutes after the conclusion of that game.
