ALEXANDRIA — An Alexandria woman has been charged with three lesser offenses relating to the alleged theft of hundreds of signs. A previous felony charge was dismissed against Wendy Hoff, 51, earlier this month. Hoff's new charges are two counts of theft and one count of receiving stolen property, all of which are gross misdemeanors. The charges were filed on March 19 in Douglas County District Court.
Fergus Falls man charged with 2 felony drug crimes
A Fergus Falls man has been charged with two felony drug crimes after he was found to be in possession of more than 250 grams of methamphetamine. Bruce Everett Anderson, 40, was charged with two felony controlled substance crimes in the first degree, one for sales and one for possession. The charges were filed on March 20 in Douglas County District Court. According to the statement of probable cause in the case, Anderson's vehicle was pulled over on Interstate 94 near mile marker 107. During the stop, a passenger allegedly admitted to a deputy that there was drug paraphernalia inside the vehicle, the statement read. A search revealed 8.9 grams of meth under the driver's seat, and 250 grams of meth and 6.3 grams of fentanyl in the glove box, the statement read. Anderson was also found to have 2.5 grams of methamphetamine on his person, the statement read.
