TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - A Sunday afternoon house fire near downtown Topeka has been ruled intentionally set.

The blaze was reported around 3:36 p.m. Sunday at 1021 S.W. Polk St.

First-arriving crews found smoke coming from the three-story home and were able to extinguish the blaze.

During a search, the home was determined to be vacant and no occupants were located.

Topeka Fire Department officials said the cause of the blaze was determined to be incendiary in nature.

No injuries were reported.
