Carolina One Real Estate , who represented the seller, expects to see more big-dollar contracts on the island this year. "I think double-digit million-dollar sales are going to become commonplace for deep-water or oceanfront properties," Brener said. Already, a bigger deal down the road is in the works for $13.5 million. The property at 2529 Atlantic Ave. hit the market March 21 and was under contract within five days. Two other houses are on the market for
$14.5 million . Sullivan's has had some
unique homes hit the market in the past year, including a
WWII bunker-turned-residence , a
former movie theater undergoing residential renovations, a home that once belonged to a U.S. general and a 2.5-acre
former beach club . As for the Middle Street property, Brener said, "The house was just really custom done on the interior and had dramatic views of Breach Inlet and the Atlantic Ocean. It was a perfect concoction of all the gorgeous elements of oceanfront living." In addition, the house has a chefs kitchen with a butler's pantry, dual dishwashers, a waterfall island and a wet bar for entertaining. Outside, an expansive deck leads into an infinity-edge pool and a spa. The water falls off towards the Atlantic Ocean. The deck also features a half bath, a large living and dining area, and an outdoor kitchen and fireplace for year-round entertaining. Adding accessibility, the house has an elevator, two laundry rooms, a sound system and garage bays for four cars or golf carts.
