SPRINGFIELD – Two people were injured and two juveniles have been arrested in a downtown Springfield shooting Tuesday afternoon. The man and woman who were wounded were brought to Baystate Medical Center by ambulance with injuries that are not believed to be life threatening following the 3:45 p.m. shooting, said Ryan Walsh, the police spokesman. Police responding to a ShotSpotter activation located the two victims outside Union Station on Frank B. Murray Street. Members of the department’s Firearms Investigation Unit responded and were able to track down the suspects a few blocks away in the area of Edwards, Elliot and Chestnut streets, he said.
