MORGANTOWN — The city of Morgantown is working with the West Virginia Division of Highways to address the rough road conditions in the city’s downtown. Starting Tuesday, city crews will begin patching Spruce and High streets. Travel lanes will be closed intermittently as work advances between 5:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. Traffic delays are expected. Patching should be completed by the end of the week. As the major arteries through downtown are state routes, the work is a combination of state and local assets. According to Morgantown Communications Director Brad Riffee, the DOH has agreed to supply asphalt, tack material, a truck and a driver. The city will provide traffic control, any necessary equipment and labor.
