Proceeds from the annual plant sale will go to help support the popular public garden.
If you’re looking to spruce up your garden, you can pick up some great plants at the Friends of Brookside Gardens plant sale. This year the annual sale has moved online due to the pandemic and is now taking orders for pickup in early September. The sale is a fundraising event organized by Friends of Brookside Gardens and helps provide funding for the park and its programs. Plants start at $8 and include more than 90 varieties of perennials, ferns, shrubs, and trees.
Brookside Gardens is a 50-acre public park located in Montgomery County. It features 10 themed garden areas and hundreds of varieties of plants, all connected by trails and walking paths. The blooming flowers and plants make it popular in the spring and summer, and the winter LED light displays make it a can’t-miss destination during the holidays. Like many of the parks and museums around the country, the pandemic has impacted the flow of funding into Brookside Gardens. This year’s plant sale will provide some much-needed support for the gardens in 2020.
