CALHOUN COUNTY, MI — A 15-year-old Michigan teen missing for nine days was located safely in Chicago on Friday, May 16. Arrangements are currently being made to reunite Glenn Lee Brown with his family, Calhoun County Sheriff’s deputies reported. Brown went missing on Wednesday, May 7, after walking away from Pennfield High School in Battle Creek. After days of searching for him locally, Brown was spotted, unaccompanied, on a train headed to Chicago on Thursday, May 15. From that point forward, the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office worked closely with the Chicago Police Department and the FBI Field Office to share all available information regarding Brown’s whereabouts. At approximately 5:40 p.m. on May 16, the Chicago Police Department notified CCSO that they had located Brown and confirmed he was safe. The sheriff’s office extended its sincere thanks to the Chicago Police Department for its “swift and thorough efforts,” in a statement. The office thanked all other agencies and community members who assisted as well.
