SCOTTSDALE, AZ (AZFamily) — Residents in a Scottsdale apartment complex are waking up to a large police presence early Wednesday morning.

Scottsdale police say while details are limited at this time, an active death investigation is underway at a complex on Granite Reef Road, south of McDonald Drive. Investigators say “there is no threat to the surrounding community” and this is an “isolated incident.”

“As this is in the very early stage of the investigation, we do not have additional information to give at this time,” police said in a statement.

Arizona’s Family crews captured officers taping off a large portion of the complex as authorities begin combing through the crime scene.

No road closures are in place due to this investigation.
