It's not officially time for the NCAA Softball Tournament until there's a weather delay.

The Tuscaloosa Regional championship game between No. 15 Alabama softball and Virginia Tech entered into a weather delay with lightning in the area shortly before first pitch was scheduled at 1 p.m. Sunday. The Crimson Tide needs one more win to advance to the super regional, while the Hokies would need two wins over Alabama .

Alabama defeated Virginia Tech on Saturday to advance to the championship game. The Hokies beat Belmont on Saturday in the loser's bracket to get back to the championship.

2:59 p.m.: According to the Tuscaloosa News' Anna Snyder, a start time of 4:30 p.m. CT has been scheduled.

1:45 p.m.: The tarp is still on the field, according to Alabama's social media. No restart time has been given yet.

1:06 p.m.: Before first pitch, Alabama and Virginia Tech entered a weather delay due to lightning in the area.
